Engineered layer by layer
Each Ratnaflow pipe is built on a continuous line: the liner is extruded, reinforcement tapes are wound contra-helically over it, and the jacket is extruded on top before the pipe is spooled.
Up to 2,000 m on one spool
Ratnaflow RTP / TCP leaves the line wound on reels. On site the reel sits on a payoff stand and the pipe is unrolled straight into the trench or along the right of way.

Multilayer system
| Construction | Raw material | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Inner tube (liner pipe) | PE100, PERT, PA11, PA12, PVDF | Material selected for each line based on working temperature, permeability and fluid compatibility. PVDF option for extreme sour service. |
| Tape wrapping (reinforcement) |
| Tape thickness: 0.3 – 2.0 mm Contra-helically wound to contain radial hoop bursting and axial tension loads. |
| Outer jacket | PE100, PERT, PA11, PA12, PVDF | Selected to suit the liner and the site conditions. UV-stabilised, high abrasion resistance. |

Connecting RTP / TCP to the rest of the line

Flanged end fitting
A swaged body with a weld-neck flange (ASME B16.5 class to suit). Connects RTP / TCP to wellheads, manifolds, valves, pig launchers and steel pipework.

Pipe-to-pipe coupling
Joins two RTP / TCP lengths in the field: between spools on long lines, at road or river crossings, or to repair a damaged section.

Threaded end fitting
A threaded union end for quick tie-ins to threaded valves, tees and wellhead connections, and for fast pipe-to-pipe unions.
Swaged connection, made on site
A steel insert supports the liner from inside while the outer sleeve is crimped over the jacket with a portable hydraulic swaging tool. Seal rings bear on the liner, so the fluid only ever touches thermoplastic and the SS or Inconel fitting.
| Fitting type | Connects to | Typical use | Body material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flanged | Flanged equipment | Wellheads, manifolds, valves, launchers | SS and Inconel grades |
| Pipe-to-pipe coupling | Another RTP / TCP length | Spool-to-spool joints, crossings, repairs | SS and Inconel grades |
| Threaded | Threaded fittings | Quick tie-ins and unions | SS and Inconel grades |
Choose the tape for the service
Glass fibre tape
Impregnated glass fibre for corrosion-free reinforcement in oil, gas and water lines.
Steel cord tape
High-strength steel cord encapsulated in polymer for the upper pressure classes.
Aramid fibre tape
Lightweight, high-tensile aramid where weight and fatigue performance matter.
Carbon fibre tape
Very high strength and stiffness for the most demanding pressure and fatigue duties.
